  • Pre-K 3 Application Period for the 2018-19 School Year

    Jan. 22 to Feb. 2, 2018

    PreK3

    Prekindergarten 3 is for children who are 3 years old on or before Sept. 1 of the school year in which they are enrolling.
     
    Children spend a full day in a safe and nurturing environment. Pre-K 3 is designed to enhance language and communication skills, and support cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
     
    Guided by the Florida Learning and Developmental Standards, Pre-K 3 provides activities in literacy, language, science, social studies, math, health and safety, art and music.

     
    Classes generally have 14 students and are staffed with a certified teacher and one or two associates. Classes are blended to include students with exceptional student education services.

    Tuition for the 2018-19 school year: $75 per week plus a non-refundable registration fee of $120.00 that is applied to tuition. At select locations, the Pre-K 3 program is supported with Title I funding. Qualifying families at Title I schools do not pay tuition.

    Please note that Pre-K 3 programs have limited availability.
     

    1. Get Your PCS User ID and Password
    Go to any district school to obtain your user ID and password if you don’t have one for another child. Make sure to bring your government issued ID.

    2. Apply online for a Pre-K 3 Seat Jan. 22- Feb. 2, 2018
    Visit reservation.pcsb.org during the application period. Choose up to three sites.

    3. View the Results of Your Application and Accept an Invitation Feb. 19-28, 2018
    Log back on to reservation.pcsb.org to find out if your application was selected. Accept an invitation or decline an invitation and remain on waitlists for other sites. If you fail to accept an invitation during this period, the invitation will be void. 
     
    4. Go to Your Assigned School to Enroll March 1-March 16
    Bring your registration fee and the following documents:

    • Birth Certificate
    • Proof of Residency (2 forms of documentation required)
    • Florida Certificate of Immunization
    • Physical examination certificate
