Nakia was raised in Pinellas County where she attended and graduated from within PCS at Dunedin High School in 2004.
Nakia started caring for and protecting the well being of PCS students in 2008 while employed with R’Club for several years and continued to care for children at the Lighthouse Youth Group Home leading up to the start of her career at PCS. She did continue to volunteer with the Lighthouse Youth Group until July 2020.
Nakia began her career with the Pinellas County School Board in December 2019 at Pinellas Park Middle School as an ESE Associate. Nakia transferred to the Schools Police Department in July to begin her education and new career as a Police Dispatcher.
