Level 2 Screening/Contractor Badge Instructions

    The Pinellas County School District is now using Fieldprint for fingerprinting contractors and vendors who must comply with Level 2 Screening requirements.
     
    Required Documents
    FDLE FBI Privacy Statement and Waiver Document. This is in compliance with the FDLE requirements in order for the customer to move forward with the fingerprinting processing. The FDLE FBI Privacy Statement and Waiver Document MUST BE PRINTED, SIGNED and RETURNED VIA EMAIL TO LUNSFORDSCREENING@PCSB.ORG AFTER REGISTERING FOR THE BADGE.
     
    Renewal Notice
    Florida Public Schools Contractor badges (also known as statewide badges) are valid for five (5) years from your original date of fingerprinting. You must be re-fingerprinted and badged every five years. For Level 2 screening, click the link under Contractor Badge Procedures below.

    Procedures for Obtaining a Florida Public Schools Contractor Badge in Pinellas County

    Contractor Badge Procedures
    Effective Monday, April 28, 2014, Pinellas County Schools has a new vendor to fingerprint and produce badges for all contractors/vendors doing work for Pinellas County Schools. The new vendor is Fieldprint. 

    To get started, please visit http://fieldprintflorida.com/ and click on the purple button on the right side of the page that says Schedule an Appointment”.

     You will need to either sign up as a “New User” or, if you’ve already registered with Fieldprint, please sign in. Once you are signed in, please click the purple link “I know my Fieldprint Code and use one of the following codes:

    For a full submission (fingerprinting and a badge) use the code FPPCSVendors

    For a badge only (FSSR requests, lost or broken badges) use the code FPPCSBadge

     

    The new cost for a full submission is $83.75 (from $93.85).  The cost for an FSSR or replacement badge is $10.00. 

     
    If you schedule an appointment and do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged a $10.00 fee. You must cancel/change your appointment 24 hours prior to your scheduled time to avoid paying this fee.

Florida Public Schools Contractor Badges

  • PLEASE CALL AHEAD OF TIME TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT FOR PICK-UP

    Once you've received an email from our office that your badge is ready for pick up, please call our office to schedule a time for picking up your badge.  When picking up badge, contractors are REQUIRED to wear a mask.  At this time, walk-in appointments are not permitted.

    Monday: 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Tuesday: OFFICE CLOSED NO BADGE PICK UP

    Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Thursday: 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

    Friday: 8:00 a.m.– 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  

     

    Please note: We will contact you by email when badge(s) is ready for pick up.  Please refer to this email regarding our schedule for badge pick up.   The EMAIL has any revisions and/or updates to our weekly schedule.

    Badges not picked up within 30 days will be destroyed, and an additional fee will be required to have a new badge produced.

  • When and where can vendors and contractors be Level 2 screened?

  • What is the cost?

  • How do vendors, contractors, or individuals pay?

  • How long will it take to be Level 2 screened?

  • Once individuals have been fingerprinted and photographed, how do vendors or contractors prove that they have been screened?

  • Are individuals who has been found guilty of a crime involving moral turpitude five years ago in another state eligible to pass the Level 2 screening?

  • If a local law enforcement agency is willing to train our company how to screen our own employees, will that be acceptable if we provide proof?

  • Do PTA representatives need to be screened when visiting schools?

  • Are charter schools impacted?

  • Do tour bus operators that take students on tours need to be screened if they require chaperones for the students at all times?

  • How about field trip locations?

  • What about the R’Club, the YMCA and other child care providers?

  • What about vendors for school dances and assemblies on our school sites?

  • What about construction contractors, subcontractors and day laborers working on school sites?

  • What if workers/vendors are supervised by someone who has passed the level 2 clearance and there is no separating fence?

  • How will pre-bid conferences be handled when the conference is at a school site and it is unknown in advance which vendors might show up for the conference?

  • What about delivery personnel such as United States mail carriers, UPS workers, FED EX employees or Freight Companies making school site deliveries?

  • What about routine school deliveries such as food service products vending machine items and school supplies?

  • Will the Pinellas County Schools recognize or accept level 2 screenings conducted by other school districts?

  • I was cleared by one school district but when I applied for approval in Pinellas I was disqualified. Why?
