Ted Biama
Sergeant Biama is a 35-year law enforcement veteran hired by the Pinellas County School Board Police in August 2018. Sergeant Biama received an AA Degree from Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and a BA from St. Leo University. He is a graduate of SWIC Police Academy (Illinois). Prior to being hired by the School Board Police Department, Sergeant Biama worked as a Police Officer in Southern Illinois for four years before moving to Pinellas County in 1986.
Sergeant Biama was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in August 1986, where he was employed for 30 years, retiring in 2016. While at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Sergeant Biama served as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol FTO, Narcotics Detective, Narcotics FTO, Detective Corporal, Property Crimes Detective and a Detective in the Tactical Apprehension Unit. Sergeant Biama has completed training and schools in numerous areas of law enforcement, including Active Shooter, Critical Incident Stress Management, Sex Crimes and Crisis Mental Health training.
Sergeant Biama is married and his wife, Bruni, is employed by the Pinellas County School Board as a teacher. The Biamas have three children who attended Pinellas County Schools.
