Ted Biama

Officer Biama is a 35-year law enforcement veteran that was hired by the Pinellas County School Board Police in August of 2018.  Officer Biama received an AA Degree from Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and BA from St. Leo University.  He is an also a graduate the SWIC Police Academy (Illinois).  Prior to being hired by the School Board Police Department, Officer Biama worked as a Police Officer in Southern Illinois for four years before moving to Pinellas County in 1986. 

Officer Biama was hired by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office in August of 1986, where he was employed for 30 years, retiring in 2016.  While at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, Officer Biama served as a Patrol Deputy, Patrol FTO, Narcotics Detective, Narcotics FTO, Detective Corporal, Property Crimes Detective and a Detective in the Tactical Apprehension Unit.Officer Biama has also completed training and schools in numerous areas of law enforcement including Active Shooter, Critical Incident Stress Management, Sex Crimes and Crisis Mental Health training.

Officer Biama is married and his wife, Bruni, is employed by the Pinellas County School Board as a Teacher.  The Biamas have three children who have attended Pinellas County Schools.
