Shannon Mc Donald was born and raised in New Jersey. She moved to Pinellas County in 2006 to begin her career in law enforcement with the St. Petersburg Police Department.

 

Shannon has extensive training in various areas of the law enforcement field. After 9 years of working with various agencies, Shannon joined the Pinellas County Schools Police Department as a police dispatcher, in February 2015.

 

Shannon was an Acting Supervisor from August 2019, until she was promoted to Communications Supervisor in April 2020.

She has served as the Local Agency Security Officer, FCIC Agency Coordinator, CJIS Admin, the liaison between FDLE and FBI as well as the liaison between all other law enforcement agencies. Shannon held a critical and significant role in helping PCSB and PCSPD implement the countywide life safety systems required by legislation.

 

In 2015, she earned her Associates in Science from St. Petersburg College, and Graduated from Saint Leo University with her Bachelor's in Psychology. Daily, she strives to help as many community members as she can. Shannon has proudly been mentoring Pinellas County Students with a focus on our Take Stock in Children program since 2016.
