Referendum - Teachers and Support Staff

  • Proposal for the 2024 Referendum 

    • Enables Pinellas County Schools to become one of the top districts for teacher pay in the state.
    • Adding support staff to the Referendum will allow for competitive salaries to attract and retain high-quality employees.Inspiring Teacher and students


    Currently, the Referendum creates a competitive salary structure for teachers

    • Eighty percent of the Referendum revenue supplements teacher salaries. 
    • For the 2023-2024 school year, each teacher receives a salary supplement of $6,328 as part of their base salary.
    • Teachers are honing their talents and gaining new skills through Referendum-funded training.
    • Training opportunities include sessions to prepare teachers to properly use and integrate technology, literacy advancement training, Advanced Placement Art Studio training, more than 15 specialized visual arts teacher trainings, and sessions by the Florida Art Education Association, Florida Music Educators Association and the Florida Association of Theatre Educators.
