  • Education is learning what you didn't even know you didn't know.    ~ Daniel J. Boorstin
AAR is fully committed to providing training and enrichment to its district staff members as it relates to their job function.

The key members of the district staff are its teachers, and it is the goal of AAR to ensure the teachers understand the tools and systems being used on a day-to-day basis. Teachers use these systems to view student performance, and they also use the data to assist in preparing daily lesson plans. This hands-on teacher training is done either at the school site or in-house.
The District has a District Assistance and Improvement Plan (DIAP), and each of its schools has a School Improvement Plan (SIP). These documents, completed annually, serve to guide the course of the school year as it aligns with the goals of the District Strategic Plan. AAR provides specific training to school leaders on the SIP and its requirements.
All district developed training is channeled through the PCS Professional Development department.
