    STEM Logo Vision

    The vision of the STEM Academies is to increase STEM opportunities for Pinellas County students. The intent of this increased exposure to STEM is for students to enroll themselves in accelerated STEM courses as they progress through middle and high school.

    Mission

    The mission of the STEM Academies is to offer students’ opportunities to conduct hands-on STEM investigations, explore careers in STEM, improve team building and leadership skills, learn about business planning and interact with community partners.

2017-2018 K-12 After School STEM Academy Student Application Process

  • The 2017-2018 after school STEM Academt student application process is now open!

    If you are interested in enrolling your Pinellas County public school child into one of the after school STEM Academies, applications are now available. The PCS STEM Academies start the 1st week in October and run through the last week in April. Space is limited to only 20 students per STEM Academy and wait lists will be available.  STEM Academy student applications will be available directly through each school.  A matrix which identifies schools and the number of STEM Academies will be available mid-Septmeber.  Primary STEM Academies are for 2nd/3rd grade students, intermediate STEM Academies are for 4th/5th grade students, middle grade STEM Academies are for 6th-8th grade students and high school STEM Academies are for 9th-12th grade students.

  • FREE Barnes and Noble (Clwr) Mini Maker Faire Nov 11th and 12th, 12:00-4:00pm. 

    Come out on Nov 11th at 1pm to here Pinellas County Schools Laura Spence, K-12 STEM Specialist speak about the importance of STEM.

    During these 2 days you will also be able to learn about technology products offered by B&N, meet local educators and create some STEM builds.
