  • New process to renew district-issued laptops at home

Pinellas County Schools has created a new, easy process to help parents renew their children's district-issued laptops from home.

If parents want their children to use their PCS laptops over the summer, including Summer Bridge, they can check out their children's device using the new "self-renewal" process.

Parents log into the Self-Renewal Portal at renew.pcsb.org using their student's PCS Username (R2.D2) and password, and then follow the simple directions on the site. They will also need the Property Tag Number for their child's assigned laptop (located at the bottom of their device: 000-0000)

This process, which takes less than a minute, must be completed before the end of the school year. Parents will see notifications indicating whether or not their child's device is renewable.

If parents are unable to renew their student’s device, they should reach out to their child's school for assistance.

Please note: Students use a different self-renewal process while on campus.

Important: Students entering sixth and ninth grades next school year will need to return devices to their current schools so they can get devices from their new schools. Seniors must turn in their computers prior to graduation.

If you have questions, please contact the PCS Help Desk at 727-588-6060.

The devices will also be available to extend learning after school hours for enrichment and reinforcement of the curriculum.

District Content Specialists create exciting enrichment opportunities for students to access outside of the school day. Information can be found on our Level Up Page

Students will be expected to bring their laptops to class each day fully charged and ready for learning. In addition, students are expected to take good care of their assigned device and report any problems to their teacher immediately.
