What are the district's procedures for requesting an initial evaluation for students who are enrolled in private school or home education?
- Parents have the right to request an ESE evaluation for a private school or home school student, and the district retains the Child Find obligation to locate, evaluate, and identify these students.
- In carrying out Child Find for school-aged children not enrolled in public school, Pinellas County Schools engages in Child Find activities similar to those for students enrolled in public school.
