Anthony “Tony” Langhorne
Anthony “Tony” Langhorne, a Transportation Field Operations supervisor, was named the Pinellas County Schools 2018-19 Support Employee of the Year during a celebratory luncheon at Feather Sound Country Club in Clearwater. As result, Langhorne, will be the district’s representative for the Florida School-Related Employee of the Year. He will also receive $300 from Achieva Credit Union, the event's sponsor.
Langhorne is a strong advocate for not only the Transportation Department but also the district. He continually looks for ways to better train district staff. He has a hands-on in promoting and conducting any training both within the district and the community. Langhorne is always willing to take on additional responsibilities and tasks with a positive and proactive attitude. He is very active in student mentoring where he is deeply involved in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence. Langhorne promotes student mentoring and enlists other Transportation Department staff to be involved. He is a positive role model and leads by example through his positive actions.
