2023 - 2024 Support Employee of the Year

David Gonzalez, the Safety and Security Officer (SSO), was named the 2023 - 2024 Support Employee of the Year.

Officer Gonzalez has served as the SSO for the past five years, establishing a prominent and reassuring presence on campus. He diligently monitors the campus and communicates professionally and respectfully with all school stakeholders. 

Semi-finalists and finalists in six categories (classroom support, clerical, food and nutrition, maintenance/safety/health, plant operations and transportation) were recognized at the Support Employee of the Year awards luncheon at Feather Sound Country Club. Superintendent Hendrick and Board Chair Laura Hine spoke at the event. See a video about Officer Gonzalez. 

Gonzalez will represent the District in the Florida School-related Employee of the Year competition this spring.

Food and Nutrition: Jill Barnes, Cafeteria Manager
