Stephanie Meyer was elected to the School Board in November 2022. She is a Pinellas native and former businesswoman. Mrs. Meyer’s passion for education inspired her to leave a successful career working for a Fortune 100 company to become a local High School/Advanced Placement social studies teacher and college professor.
Her passion for education runs deep in her Pinellas roots. As a product of the Pinellas public school system and the daughter of a beloved 34-year veteran teacher, she has a unique perspective on the challenges and triumphs the public school system has experienced over the years.
She returned to college as an adult, earning an Associate of Arts from St. Petersburg College as well as a Bachelor of Science in Political Science/History and a Master of Arts in History from Liberty University.
Mrs. Meyer has worked with the Florida Legislature and stakeholders to pass legislation for curriculum transparency and parental rights. She is committed to reforming Pinellas public schools so that every child receives the education they need and deserve.
She lives in Pinellas County with her husband Steve, a local firefighter, and their three children.
