Schools are able to apply for up to $500 for funding to expand their youth garden or greenspace until January 31, 2025. Programs will also have the opportunity to apply for additional funding through specialty award categories, for a total of $1,500. Apply by filling out the application on their webiste. Tampa Bay Water is committed to conserving water and safeguarding our region’s drinking water sources! Local schools can apply for the Water Conservation and Protection Mini-grant Program, offering grants ranging from $2,000 up to $10,000 for projects that promote water conservation and protect our valuable water resources. With $50,000 in total funding, these grants are perfect for classroom projects, school-wide events, or educational initiatives that inspire students and the community to take action in preserving our local groundwater, rivers, and seawater. Splash Grant Through SWFTMD [Due Date for 2024-2025 School Year Passed]
Teachers are able to apply for up to $3000 for funding for student activities that focus on fresh water or estuary studies until October 14th. Grant funds will not be approved for non-water related activities. Apply by filling out the application and email it directly to Katherine.Munson@swfwmd.state.fl.us. Teachers who are interested need to complete the PCS Superintendent Grant Approval (SGA) form prior to applying for this grant opportunity. Teachers are able to submit requests for up to $600 of funding for a classroom project until October 25, and selected projects will receive funding in mid-December. This is a great opportunity for teachers to receive support from one of our donors whose wife was a teacher that frequently spent her own money to support classroom activities. He is very passionate about helping teachers in our community in honor of his deceased wife. There are no reporting requirements for teachers selected to receive a grant. Click here to see details. On an annual basis, thanks to the generosity of our donors, Pinellas Education Foundation provides over $125,000 in classroom grants. All Pinellas County Schools teachers, instructional staff or administrators can apply for up to $1,000 to fund a classroom project to support the achievement of your students. Application reviews begin in mid-September and will be awarded on a rolling basis until January 31 or funding is exhausted. - New this year – classroom support will be funded through DonorsChoose.
- DonorsChoose was created by teachers, for teachers. If your project is selected for funding, the items you request will be automatically shipped to your school.
- All grade levels and subject areas are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to literacy, math, STEM, or an innovative enrichment to curriculum.
- We will select projects that are creative and sustainable beyond just one class or school year.
