Peggy O’Shea was elected to the school board in 2006 and re-elected in 2010 and 2014. She is the current chairperson of the school board. Mrs. O’Shea also served the position in 2015-16 and 2008-09. She has served as vice-chairperson in 2007-08 & 2013-14. Prior to her election, she was appointed by the Governor to serve as chairperson of the Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County and was a member of the Florida Early Learning Advisory Council. Mrs. O’Shea serves on the board of the Council of Great City Schools, Pinellas Education Foundation, Pinellas County Health and Human Services Leadership Board, and the School Transportation & Safety Committee. She also served on the Pinellas Planning Council, chairperson of the Greater Palm Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce and Chairperson of their Government Affairs & Economic Development Committee, East Lake Community Library, Pinellas Public Library Cooperative, Public Access Advisory Committee, several school district task forces, School Advisory Councils, and Palm Harbor Rotary. Prior to her election, Mrs. O’Shea managed a commercial arbitration and mediation service.
