Data Center and Infrastructure Systems
-
Data Center and Infrastructure Systems (DCIS) is the group that implements and maintains the Data Center and all the servers housed in the Data Center.
There are approximately 300 servers in 15 racks in the Data Center and one AS/400. The servers are located within the air conditioned Data Center and are protected by two large Liebert/Emerson UPS’. The department makes heavy use of SAN and virtual server technologies.DCIS also maintains the district's email system (off-premise Exchange with off-premise Proofpoint archiving). Within the Data Center is our NOC (Network Operations Center), which monitors the health of our network, main servers, and most important applications 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
