Educational Alternative - PATHS
The Purposeful Attention Towards Helping Students Succeed (PATHS) program is a referral-based program which serves students in grades 6-12 who have been approved through the referral process. The purpose of the program is to provide intensive mental health services to those students who need extra support due to the severity of their social and emotional needs.
Students receive academic classes through a certified teacher with support from associates. Students will participate in an online learning platform to access the curriculum. Students are expected to participate in individual counseling at least once a week to address their individualized needs and concerns. Also, students are expected to participate in therapeutic groups daily to learn more effective social and emotional skills. Both the individual counseling sessions and the counseling groups are facilitated by a social worker or a psychologist that provides support to students, families, and staff to enhance the student’s well-being and maximize school performance.
Mission
The mission of Purposeful Attention Towards Student Success (PATHS) is to provide a safe, alternative learning environment for students requiring a welcoming, emotionally sensitive space with trained mental health professionals and a low teacher-to- student ratio. Our goal is to support students academically with simultaneous focus and attention to their mental, social, and emotional needs as they prepare to successfully integrate back to a traditional school setting.
Vision
100% Student Success
