Substance Abuse Education, Prevention, and Intervention
The Social Work Office provides education, prevention and intervention to staff, students and families. The goal is to promote healthy choices through evidenced-based programs, workshops and a variety of resources. Specific programs related to Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs include:
- Families Acting Collaboratively to Educate and Involve Teens (FACE IT) - Intervention program for students and their families who get caught using illegal substances on campus or school - related events.
- Tobacco Clinic - Collaboration with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital to educate students on the use of nicotine products.
