S.T.E.P. Students Targeted for Educational Performance

Students Targeted for Educational Performance is a group mentoring program for students in grades 3-11. The goal of the S.T.E.P. program is to provide a school-based support structure for minority students in order to optimize academic achievement through encouragement, support, and guidance. Criteria for the program are based on student's grade point average and standardized test scores. Through academic advice, educational field trips, college campus tours, college and career speakers, and presenters. The participants are provided additional opportunities to plan for their educational future.
