Dunedin High School – Remodel and Renovations

Construction/Renovation of:

The project’s goal is to create an enclosed secure lobby to the auditorium. The lobby should tie into the security fence of the campus, eliminating the students from leaving the security perimeter of the school to get to the band and music rooms. 

Another project goal is to work with Dunedin’s High School’s Architecture, Robotics and Construction (ARC) program for real-world application of what students learn.  ARC students will engage in a design competition and a portion of the winning design must be incorporated into the overall project design.   

The scope of work includes:

• New construction to create a secure auditorium lobby
• Incorporation of Dunedin High School winning architectural design
• New front entrance plaza
• This may include reworking the existing parking lot layout and traffic loop
• General interior renovations to the auditorium that will be included as alternates:

• New ceilings
• New lights
• New paint
• New floor covering under the seating areas only
• New acoustical sound panels

• Additional interior renovations that will be included as alternates:

• Creating a more functional sound booth
• Enhancing the proscenium wall

Project Status:

• The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) goes to the board on 5/13/25
