Welcome to Pinellas County Schools! As a newly benefit-eligible employee this is your opportunity to enroll in the benefit plans of your choice.
For a summary of our benefit plans, please review our Benefits At a Glance.
Benefits are effective the first day of the month following 60 days of employment in an eligible status. A completed 2023 Enrollment and Change Form , along with your Statement of Benefits Form is due in Risk Management within 31 days of your employment date. This is very important--so please don't forget! If you are late, you will have to wait until the next Annual Enrollment (mid-October) to apply for your benefits for the new year.
If you do not purchase medical insurance, you may receive up to a $75 per-pay-period credit toward the purchase of eligible supplement benefits: "No Health" Board Contribution. If your coverage is effective after January 1st, you may be responsible for summer premiums that will automatically be deducted from your paycheck in addition to your normal bi-weekly deduction. If you later add health insurance, you may owe the last month that you do not have health insurance because deductions are taken in advance.Frequently Asked QuestionsBelow are useful links to help you answer most of the questions you may have:
